About

Let’s get down to brass tacks.

1982 - PRESENT

I was born in upstate New York, went to high school in Kentucky and college in Indiana. With a bachelor's degree in graphic design and a minor in photography, I moved west to where the greatest snow on earth can be found, Utah.  I spent a couple years there snowboarding/working at a weekly publication where I learned to meet tight deadlines and had photos published on a regular basis. I also learned that there are no friends on pow days, one of life’s many lessons.

I eventually continued west to California about 16 years ago. The majority of my working days were spent at Cuker where I served as Sr. Art Director crafting digital experiences for brands like Quiksilver, Nixon, Olukai, Rip Curl, Nike and more.  Over my years there I contributed to 60+ award-winning projects and have also judged multiple online competitions in an effort to reward and applaud the projects that are truly worthy of recognition.

After several successful solo web, print, and identity projects I was contracted by Renovate America (now Finance of America Home Improvement) to help lead design efforts in rebranding the company while also creating a new website. Once the project was complete I was offered a job and have been there for the last 6 years as Senior Manager of Creative Design & Marketing.

You will rarely see me in anything other than flannel and probably never see me without a hat on. I have two kids that are my favorite things in the world and occupy most of my time these days. When I can find the time you might find me surfing, snowboarding or in my garage dabbling in woodworking.

Thanks for stopping by.
